'Ice ice, baby; we're closed' raps elementary school principal in video

Posted: Updated:

In any given snow day, the WIS newsroom receives hundreds of closing and delay notices from schools, businesses, and day cares, but this notice goes above and beyond anything we've ever seen before.

The principal at White Knoll Elementary School, Bob Grant, tweeted out a video of his school's closing notice.

But instead of reading a release and staring blankly into a camera, Grant and his staff decided to sing it using the musical stylings of Vanilla Ice and his classic, "Ice Ice Baby."

"Alright stop; wake up and listen: ice is back and the roads are slippin'" Grant raps.

The video is an obvious wink and nod toward Stephens Elementary School and Principal James Detwiler in Kentucky, who released a closing announcement set to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Detwiler's video has received thousands of views.

Oh, and by the way, White Knoll Elemetary is closed for Thursday as well.
