SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
A group of women all about to have their babies were treated to a special event carried out in precision military fashion.
Thirty moms-to-be were treated to a baby shower at the TPC in Scottsdale Tuesday afternoon as Arizonans try to keep the promise to our soldiers serving overseas.
"Operation Shower is a non-profit organization that hosts baby showers across the country for military families when their spouses are going to deploy during their pregnancy," said Leann Morrissey of Operation Shower.
The celebration includes lunch and a shower in a box, which is handed out to each mom to be.
"It is a full box of everything you would want for your baby shower for a girl," said mom-to-be Camille Schultz.
There was some star power in the crowd. Brenda Warner, wife of football player Kurt Warner, thanked the ladies for their service and offered her support.
"I am thrilled to be part of this because I want to honor the military families," she said.
The "baby love"-themed event was presented by Pro-Em Party Rentals and the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
