Burglars break in and steal Valley family's Christmas

Posted: Updated:

A Phoenix family is doing the best it can after some burglars broke into their home and stole all their Christmas presents.

Jesus and Josaphine Cruz told CBS5 that when they walked in the door Tuesday morning, the entire home had been ransacked.

"Everything was stolen," said Jesus Cruz. "My TVs are gone, the kids X-box game is gone. Everything is gone that I bought them for Christmas."

Cruz pointed to the spot under the family Christmas tree where he'd put a bunch of presents for his children, who are 8 and 5.

The look on their faces said it all. They won't have anything to open Christmas morning.

"The worst part about this is that it happened on Christmas Eve,"said Jesus Cruz. "They stole everything from my kids. Now I don't know if I can even give them Christmas."

To make things worse,  the crooks also took off with a couple of cameras and memory cards with irreplaceable pictures of the family.

Phoenix police were called out to investigate, but so far, have very few leads.

Neighbors said they didn't see anything.

"They took it all," said Jesus Cruz. "They took everything from us."
