Scottsdale has added a new camera at a city intersection as part of the city's photo enforcement program.
The camera was installed at the intersection of Hayden and Chaparral roads Wednesday and will monitor red-light runners and speeders, according to the Scottsdale Police Department website.
Motorists will have a 30-day grace period, which began Tuesday, to get used to the new American Traffic Solutions camera, according to the police website.
Traffic violators will be sent warning letters instead of the actual citations, according to the site.
The site was selected in cooperation with the city's Traffic Engineering Department and police department, according to the site.
