The Valdosta State Blazers earned south Georgia basketball bragging rights, knocking off Albany State in overtime Tuesday night at ASU's HPER Gym.
The Golden Rams trailed by 11 at half, but came out of the break full of energy.
ASU scored 11 of the first 15 points of the second half to cut the lead to four with 16:20 left to play.
The teams went back and forth in the second half, and finished regulation tied at 77.
VSU built a six point lead in OT they never relinquished to move to 5-0 on the 2013 season.
Jalen Crawford led the Blazers with 24 points. Albany State was led by Joseph Williams with 25.
Albany State is at home Saturday, hosting Florida National University. The Blazers stay on the road, playing Lynn Saturday in Boca Raton, FL.
