W. Golf Sixth at Landfall Tradition

Arizona women's golf wrapped play at The Landfall Tradition on Sunday. The three-day, three-round event was held in Wilmington, N.C. at the Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course (par 72, 6,204 yards). Ten of Golfstat's top-25 teams and 15 of the top-50 players competed in Wilmington this weekend.

No. 10 Alabama won the team title with an 867 (+3) over three rounds. No. 4 Duke was second with an 875 (+11) and No. 13 Clemson rounded out the top three with an 897 (+33). No. 8 Arizona finished tied for sixth with No. 22 Michigan State. The Cats scored a total of 910 (+46) with individual rounds of 304, 302 and 304. No. 7 Stephanie Meadow of Alabama won the individual medal with a score of 213 (-3).

Making her Arizona debut, freshman Wanasa Zhou paced the Wildcats at the Landfall Tradition with a tied for 13th place finish overall. She moved from 25th to 13th on the final day of play with a collegiate-low round of 71. Her scores of 77 and 75 gave her a score of 223 (+7).

No. 13 sophomore Lindsey Weaver finished in a five-way tie for 22nd place. She carded scores of 77, 73 and 77 for a total of 227 (+11). Junior Manon Gidali finished in a three-way tie for 38th place. She scored a 230 (+14) with rounds of 76, 78 and 76. No. 61 junior Kendall Prince carded a 232 (+16) with rounds of 74, 78 and 80. No. 23 junior Andrea Vilarasau rounded out the Arizona five in a four-way tie for 74th place. She collected rounds of 83, 76 and 80 for a score of 239 (+23).

Arizona women's golf is back in action Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 4-5, at the Pac-12 Preview. The event will be held at Nanea Golf Club in Kohala, Hawaii and co-hosted by Hawaii and Washington.
