Arrest made in threat to North Baltimore School District
Police out at North Baltimore Schools the day after the threat was made
NORTH BALTIMORE, OH (Toledo News Now) -
North Baltimore Police have arrested a man they say was involved in a threat to the school district.
A threatening letter was received at North Baltimore High School on October 4. Police said the letter was sent anonymously, and contained a threat to blow up the school.
Dwight W. Bower, 57, of Cygnet, was arrested and charged with a felony county of inducing panic on Wednesday.
Police say a forensic examination of the threatening letter led to a suspect.
"This case was of great concern to the police department and especially the parents, children and staff of our schools. We are fortunate that we were able to bring this case to a swift and successful conclusion. The residents deserve closure," said North Baltimore Police Chief Allan Baer.
Police say they have been concerned since the letter was received, but they are more at ease knowing Bower is behind bars.
