New simulation program aims to fight domestic violence
PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The City of Phoenix rolled out a new program today to help address and fight domestic violence.
The program is called "In Her Shoes" and it is a simulation and experimentation exercise. Participants are meant to experience the lives of domestic violence victims.
"It's sad that we have domestic violence and have the problem. One wonder why we do what we do and it's pretty serious. The work that you will put in to help solve it is so welcome and appreciated," said former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
Organizers here in Arizona say one in four women will experience domestic violence.
