CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Taking a lunch break around Fountain Square on Thursday? If not, you probably should.
The University of Cincinnati men and women's basketball teams are celebrating the start of the 2013-14 season by setting up a court right on the square.
As part of Basketball Midday Madness, coaches and players will be introduced, UC spirit squads will be cheering as well as some friendly competition on the court.
The hour-long event is free and begins at noon.
Fan in attendance will have the opportunity to meet the players and can also bring their business cards for a chance to win a pair of season tickets for both UC men and women's basketball games.
"We are excited for the opportunity to play outside in the heart of Cincinnati," UC head men's basketball coach Mick Cronin said. "It's definitely something the city has never seen before, and we are looking forward to sharing it with the community."
Limited seating is available.
The event is presented by Skyline Chili, so why not grab a coney and watch the #HottestCollegeinAmerica dribble across Fountain Square?
