The Mohave County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy on the body of a woman who died in the Grand Canyon on Wednesday.
Grand Canyon officials were called about 1 p.m., the caller telling them a 67-year-old woman had died on the Colorado River.
The National Park Service and MCME are conducting the investigation to determine the cause of death.
The woman's identity was not released, pending her notification of her family.
No other information was immediately available.
