Woman uses car as a weapon against local football starPosted: Updated:
A woman is facing charges for running down a former local football star and another man with her car.
Cierra English has been indicted on felony assault charges.
Police say she seriously injured Raymond Fisher. Fisher starred on the football field with Glenville High and was later drafted in 2010 by the Indianapolis Colts.
Investigators say the attack happened outside the hustler club in the Flats. A report shows English drove at two men, flipping one on the roof and dragging Fisher.
"They said I'd never play again," Fisher told 19 Action News.
He added, "I lost all uses of both my legs. It came back but it was about after about two months later."
The incident happened in May, but charges were just filed.
Cleveland Police have said Fisher and English have had domestic trouble before. He didn't want to talk about the past, but he says he just wants justice.
"It's not payback. I just want her to get what she deserves at the end of the day," Fisher said.
Fisher says English has been a dancer at the club.
We went there, to her house, and we called a number on a police report. We've not heard back from her.
