Police investigate overnight shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Hartford are investigating after an overnight shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Officials told Eyewitness News that they responded to Hartford Hospital around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning after a man arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower left leg.

Police said the man told officers that he had been shot while attending a party.

Officers then responded to the area of the party at 429 Edgewood Street to search for evidence relating to the shooting.

Responding officers were unable to locate a tenant at the home, but several other people were kicked off the property.

At this point police have not identified a possible suspect.
