Cards large local tv ratings part of huge kickoff weekend in NFL

The Cardinals season-opening game last Sunday at St. Louis drew an average rating of 24.6 with a share of 44 while reaching an estimated 446,000 Valley households (source: NFL & The Nielsen Company).

It was also the most-watched TV program of any kind in Phoenix for the week.

Across the nation, a record total of 108.4 million fans watched games, marking the fourth consecutive Kickoff Weekend with a total audience of over 105 million viewers.

For the fifth straight season, NFL games ranked as the most-watched TV program in all 30 NFL markets during Kickoff Weekend, including Phoenix.
