Easthampton assistant principal steps down

Anne Beauregard, the assistant principal of Easthampton High School, has resigned after being convicted last week on drunken driving charges.

According to our media partners, Masslive.com and The Republican, Beauregard sent the school's superintendent a resignation letter.

She was sentenced to a year in the county house of correction.

The sentence was suspended for two years while Beauregard is on supervised probation.
