Coyotes to play benefit intrasquad game

Posted: Updated:

The Phoenix Coyotes will play an intrasquad game Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Arena to benefit the families of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots killed fighting the Yarnell Hill fire.

The Coyotes, teaming with the City of Glendale, said Wednesday that all tickets will be $5.

The team also will auction autographed Yarnell tribute jerseys that will be worn by the players during warm-ups, and additional money will raised with a 50/50 raffle and the sale of Yarnell lapel pins by Glendale Firefighters Charities. Many Westgate City Center restaurants and businesses also will donate $1 per check on the night of the game.
