Man struck by vehicle on Broad Street in New Britain

Police in New Britain are investigating a serious pedestrian accident Saturday night.

Police were called to the corner of Broad and Booth Street around 9 p.m. after a 64-year-old male crossing the street was struck by a vehicle.

Police told Eyewitness News that the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The victim was transported to New Britain General Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police have cleared the scene, and the road has reopened.
