A former Williamson County Sheriff's Office employee was arrested Friday night on statutory rape charges, authorities said.

Corey Andrew Gray, 26, has been charged with two counts of statutory rape. He was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

His arrest followed an indictment by a Williamson County grand jury.

Gray resigned from the sheriff's office in December 2012 while under investigation for misconduct. He worked in the detention division.
