Mercury forward Chardé Houston will personally deliver more than 6,000 bottles of water to the Salvation Army (27th St. and Washington St.) on Monday, August 5 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Following the drop-off, Houston will visit with and sign autographs for children living at the shelter. As someone who has experienced being homeless, Houston will offer words of encouragement and inspiration to the families at the Salvation Army.

Mercury mascot, Scorch, and members of the Hip Hop Squad will also be in attendance to help deliver water and interact with families.

Unopened bottles and cases of water were collected at US Airways Center prior to tonight's Mercury-Atlanta matchup. Fans that donated were given one raffle ticket for every bottle of water donated. Four lucky winners received an autographed Diana Taurasi jersey, courtesy of State Farm®.
