Las Vegas Metro police announced Wednesday the creation of a memorial account in the name of a Search & Rescue officer who died this week.
Police said donations can be made to any Wells Fargo bank under account No. 6102. Proceeds go to the family of Officer David Vanbuskirk, 36, who died when he fell into a canyon, while coming to a hiker's rescue at Mt. Charleston.
Vanbuskirk served as a Metro Search & Rescue officer for 13 years, according to police.
