New Haven sex offender set to be released from VT prisonPosted: Updated:
A sex offender from New Haven is being released from a prison in Vermont.
Officials there said Timothy Szad, 53, will be set free after serving more than a decade behind bars.
Szad was charged with sexual assault after police said he handcuffed and assaulted an autistic boy.
While Szad will be required to register on the state's sex offender registry, he won't be under state supervision after being released.
