Trial date set for man charged in AZ explosionPosted: Updated:
A new trial date has been set for an Iraqi man charged with detonating a homemade explosive device outside a Social Security Administration office in Arizona.
Abdullatif Ali Aldosary's trial is now scheduled to begin Aug. 6.
Authorities say Aldosary researched bomb-making materials and gathered chemicals before detonating an explosive outside the agency's Casa Grande office on Nov. 30.
No one was injured in the blast.
Aldosary has pleaded not guilty to one count of maliciously damaging federal property with explosives, three counts of being a felon in possession of a gun and ammunition, and one count of attempted interference with the administration of the federal agency.
Authorities have declined to provide details about the case, including any motive and whether Aldosary is suspected of working alone or with others.
