Youngsters from area youth groups hit the field Tuesday at Great American Ball Park for the National Play Campaign.
They were joined by several Reds players, including Jay Bruce, who spoke about making smart choices when it comes to their health and well-being.
Two major talking points were the dangers of steroid use and the growing childhood obesity epidemic.
PLAY, which stands for Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth, is an annual at all 30 major league ballparks.
As part of the event, youngsters were asked to sign pledge cards promising to make smart health choices.
