Atlanta Medical Center told CBS Atlanta News that former Atlanta Hawk Daron "Mookie" Blaylock's condition has been upgraded from fair to good.

Blaylock was involved in a wreck Friday on Tara Boulevard just south of North Avenue in Jonesboro. It was at about 1:15 p.m. when police said Blaylock crossed the median into oncoming traffic and hit a van head-on.

Monica Murphy, 41, was a passenger in a van being driven by Frankie Murphy. Monica Murphy was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and underwent surgery, but died Friday night.

Frankie Murphy was treated for a broken ankle.

Blaylock was driving a Cadillac Escalade. A viewer video shows the Escalade nearly crushed from the impact.

Blaylock played 13 years in the NBA and seven years for the Atlanta Hawks.

Blaylock is wanted on a bench warrant for his arrest out of Spalding County for DUI and drug charges.

Jonesboro police Chief Franklin Allen said Sunday that the 46-year-old Blaylock is charged with driving on a suspended license and failing to stay in his lane. Allen says officers haven't been able to talk with Blaylock yet because of injuries suffered in the wreck, but they hope to do so as early as Monday.

The chief says that interview and talks with prosecutors will determine whether Blaylock will face other charges.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation.

It will be six to eight weeks before a toxicology report comes back on Blaylock.
