STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Two Stratford women were arrested for arson in connection with a house fire in May 2011.
The fire was reported at a residence at 555 Light St. shortly after 2:30 p.m. on May 28, 2011.
The flames damaged the rear and side of the house and collapsed part of the garage roof, which flattened a car inside.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, fire officials said.
Fire officials said there were "numerous inconsistencies and facts" and that lead them to investigate the fire.
Madeline Griffin and Luz Davila-Nieves turned themselves into the Stratford Police Department on May 15.
Davila-Nieves received more than $337,000 in compensation from the insurance company, while Griffin got $1,000.
Both were charged with first-degree arson, fourth-degree larceny, insurance fraud, fourth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, first-degree conspiracy to commit arson and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud.
Griffin and Davila-Nieves were released on a $250,000 bond and were scheduled to be arraigned in Tolland Superior Court on Friday.
