NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Channel 3 Eyewitness News Sports Reporter John Holt spent the 2011-2012 season documenting the Hillhouse High School girls basketball team's quest for a fourth straight state championship.

The pressure was on Connecticut's first-ever McDonald's All American, Bria Holmes, both in the recruiting process and with the expectations for a four-peat.

Hillhouse, located in New Haven, is led by 5-time state champion Head Coach Catrina Hawley-Stewart, who is raising her sister's three children after her sister's death in a suspicious house fire.

The documentary is set against the backdrop of a city ranked the fourth-most violent in America, with 34 homicides in 2011.

The film will premiere Thursday night at a screening event at Hillhouse High School.
