The Connecticut Department of Transportation said Interstate 95 south has reopened in Groton.
Few details were released by state DOT officials, but they said the interstate was closed between exits 90 and 89 because of a tractor-trailer fire.
Emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire and reopen all but the right lane.
That would reopen after the tractor-trailer is removed from the area.
It's unknown if anyone was injured.
