Vacant home damaged by fire in north Nashville

Posted: Updated:

Emergency crews said a fire damaged a vacant north Nashville home early Friday morning.

The fire occurred in the 1900 block of Heiman Street around 1:30 a.m.

It was fully involved when firefighters arrived, but crews got it knocked down quickly and saved the home from being a total loss.

They think the fire may have been started by homeless that were trying to keep warm.
