Students arrested for waving gun near Simsbury High School

SIMSBURY, CT (WFSB) -

The Simsbury Police Department arrested three students after they were seen waving two airsoft guns on high school property.

A woman on her way to pick up her daughter from Simsbury High School saw the teens in possession of two "pellet-style firearms" in the school parking lot around 2:30 p.m.

She was alarmed and contacted police.

Tanner Nascimbeni, 18, Hannah Bolden, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old were arrested on West Street, which is about a mile away from the school.

All three were charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, weapons in a vehicle and second-degree breach of peace.
