There's new information Monday night on a story that Eyewitness News broke last week involving bonuses given to city workers in Hartford.
City Council members decided Monday night to support a ban on bonuses unless they were called for in contracts.
Sources told Eyewitness News earlier in the day that Mayor Pedro Segarra and the City Council will support a resolution to ban bonuses for city employees going forward.
This comes less than a week after Eyewitness News obtained records showing some employees received tens of thousands of dollars worth of "exceptional service increments" over the last few years.
Those bonuses came in the midst of a budget crunch.
