Metro police on Tuesday arrested a man that is suspected of robbing or attempted to rob seven businesses in six days.
Clemente Bell, 41, is charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
Bell was taken into custody near Interstate 440 and Nolensville Road around 7:40 a.m. after two Metro officers spotted his vehicle that matched the suspect's description. Officers located a gun in the car and cash.
Bell is accused of robbing Shipley Donuts at 2540 Lebanon Pike early Tuesday followed by the attempted robbery of Courtesy Cleaning Center at 4533 Nolensville Pike.
Police said the man targeted the Thompson Lane Krispy Kreme on Monday. The same person is also thought to have robbed a Mapco on Trousdale Drive just hours before striking Krispy Kreme.
His robbery spree started last Wednesday when he robbed the Circle K on Nolensville Pike.
Investigators believe he robbed the Phillips 66 on Briley Parkway on Sunday and tried to rob the Discount Tobacco also on Nolensville Pike.
In each case, the suspect was wearing a white scarf over his face with a black baseball cap with white writing.
Police are investigating Bell for possible involvement in similar robberies in Murfreesboro and Cheatham County.
