The girlfriend of the driver shot and killed on the Las Vegas Strip last month was arrested on a probation violation.
According to Clark County Court records, 22-year-old Asmayit Hagos was booked on Monday for a violation of probation related to a suspended sentence.
Hagos reportedly identified herself as the girlfriend of 27-year-old Kenneth "Kenny Clutch" Cherry, who died in a car-to-car shooting and resultant wreck on Feb. 21.
Las Vegas Metro police said Cherry was behind the wheel of a Maserati that had been targeted by 26-year-old Ammar Harris, who was driving a black Range Rover, while on the move on Las Vegas Boulevard.
According to police, Harris fired several shots at Cherry, hitting him. Cherry was unconscious behind the wheel when his vehicle accelerated into the intersection at Flamingo Road, police said.
It was there the Maserati slammed into a taxi cab, causing it to burst into flames.
The crash killed cab driver Michael Boldon, 62, and passenger Sandra Sutton-Wasmond, 48.
Harris remains in custody in California, awaiting an identification hearing set for March 14.
