Strong storms cause delays on Metro-NorthPosted: Updated:
Officials with Metro-North said some delays have been reported as a result of strong storms that moved across Connecticut Thursday morning.
Metro-North officials said the New Haven Line into and out of New York City is experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes due to the storms.
In addition, Metro-North officials said the New Canaan branch was replaced with bus service for passengers. Upper New Haven Line customers traveling east to Noroton Heights, Darien, Rowayton, South Norwalk, East Norwalk, Westport and Greens Farms must take a train to Southport then get a westbound train to get access to these stations due to wire issues in the area, Metro-North officials said.
All passengers are being asked to listen to announcements at the stations for the latest information.
