Two teenagers from East Haven have been arrested after allegedly posting threats against students on social media websites.
The teens, who are not being identified because of their age, were arrested Monday after police received word of the threats made against students at Pathways Regional School on Maple Street.
The 16- and 17-year-old boys were former students at the school, police said, and were not at the school when police were notified.
No students were ever in danger, police insisted, but extra security measures were put in place to protect students.
Both teens were charged with breach of peace, threatening and intimidation based on bigotry or bias.
Both teens are being held in a juvenile detention facility in Bridgeport.
