A Yuma man was taken into custody at a Sam's Club after he made remarks that he had a handgun.
Isaac Contreras, 29, was pacing erratically near the meat counter at Sam's Club about 8 p.m. Tuesday and customers told police he had made "disturbing" statements about having the handgun, according to Sgt. Leanne Worthen of the Yuma Police Department.
The area was evacuated and Contreras was apprehended. No handgun was found and no one was injured, Worthen said.
Contreras was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for disorderly conduct and criminal nuisance.
Yuma police asked that anyone with any information about the case to call 928-373-4700 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
