The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a voluntary recall for infant bath seats that have failed to meet federal safety standards.
Officials said the Dream On Me Bath Seats did not meet requirements for stability and the seat could tip over with a child in it, posing a drowning risk.
Officials have received reports of five incidents, including the near drowning of a 1-year-old girl.
The seats were sold in small retail stores and online through Amazon and Wayfair from July until September. About 50,000 of the seats were sold nationwide.
Consumers are urged to stop using the product and contact Dream On Me at 877-201-4317 for a free replacement seat.
