A Douglas woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly attempted to smuggle more than $131,000 worth of marijuana through the Douglas Port of Entry.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Dora Arias, 20, for additional inspection of her vehicle after a narcotic detection K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs.
Officers then conducted a thorough inspection and found 199 packages of marijuana throughout the vehicle, including under the car's hood.
The drugs, weighing more than 262 pounds, and vehicle were processed for seizure.
Arias was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
