(Source: CBS 5 News) Mesa police officers escort a shooting suspect who held police at bay Tuesday morning to a waiting patrol car.

An armed suspect in a shooting gave himself up to Mesa police Tuesday morning after a standoff that lasted more than two hours.
Chadler Chow, 27, who was reportedly armed, had been holed up in a Mesa apartment complex and forced police to close Eighth Street west of Country Club Drive while they negotiated with him.
He walked out of the apartment and backed up to police with his arms folded behind his head just before 7 a.m.
Police closed the intersection shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday while a SWAT unit was brought to the Cypress Commons apartments. Police evacuated the apartments adjacent to the apartment where the suspect was holed up.
Police said the suspect reportedly got into a fight Monday night with a person he knew, pulled a gun and shot the person. The wounded person is expected to survive.
Police tracked the suspect to the apartment complex but could not say if it is where the suspect lives.
Chow was booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault.
