Walmart kicked off its 2nd Annual 12 Days of Giving campaign today and are asking Phoenix Facebook users to nominate nonprofit organizations that have made an impact in our community and are in need of support.

12 Days of Giving awards winning nonprofits from across the country with a portion of a $1.5 million grant.

The nomination you make can impact someone for a lifetime. A grant recipient from last year, Cradles to Crayons, was able to reach their goal of providing 7,500 children with clothing, boots, and other cold weather gear.

More than 5,400 organizations were nominated in the 12 Days of Giving campaign last year and Walmart was able to award 145 with a portion of the grant.

To nominate an organization go to Walmart's Facebook page under the Live Better tab starting today through Nov. 18. A 200-word description that includes the impact the nonprofit has had on our community must be submitted. You will also be able to submit photos showing the impact the non-profit has made in the community. A gallery will be made on Walmart's Facebook page to highlight submissions throughout the campaign.

After submissions have been made a panel from Walmart will review them and select the winners.

Walmart will be announcing the winners daily on both Facebook and Twitter starting Dec. 10 through Dec. 21.
