SRP teams up with Gilbert to rush aid to Hurricane Sandy victims

Posted: Updated:

In response to the devastation on the East Coast left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Salt River Project will be sending trucks loaded with water bottles directly to the devastated area.

The drinking water will be a big help to those whose homes sustained major damage or were destroyed.

SRP trucks will be picking up the water at Gilbert Elementary, located just west of the Elliot-Gilbert Road intersection on Friday.

Any Gilbert Public Schools family that wants to donate bottled water may take their donation to Gilbert Elementary at the front of the school until 9:30 p.m., and the gates to the school will again be open again from 6-9 a.m. to accept more donations.
