Some bona fide fall weather on the way

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (CBS5) -

It'll finally feel a little more fall-like by week's end.

A decent-looking weather system off the central California coast (as of Tuesday evening) will begin to have an effect on our weather by Thursday.

There could be a few Valley showers later in the day Thursday, but best overall rain chances will be across northern Arizona and the higher terrain.

Winds will also be on the increase, but more noticeable will be the cooler temperatures Friday and Saturday, especially during the morning.  Friday highs will only be in the upper 70s with low to mid 80s on Saturday.  Most Valley locations will have lows in the 50s Saturday morning.

Warmer weather returns by Sunday and early next week.
