A motorcycle driver was struck and killed Monday at a Phoenix intersection.

Kevin Knife, 33, died of his injuries. Knife was wearing a helmet, Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department said.

The crash occurred at about 6:15 p.m., when a car driven by a 55-year-old woman was traveling south on 75th Avenue when she attempted to make left turn to go eastbound on Roosevelt.

Thompson said the woman failed to yield to the northbound motorcyclist. The woman was not identified.

This investigation is still ongoing and there are no indications of impairment, Thompson said.
