Arizona Public Service's (APS) newest bucket truck is the tallest in the western United States.
The new truck is called the Condor and is capable of extending up to 137 feet vertically and 61 feet horizontally. This will give APS workers access to the tallest and highest voltage poles, often 500,000-volt transmission lines.
During insulations, crews can perform work on the lines with electricity continuing to flow safely, and customers will continue to get reliable service.
The Condor will be able to handle the Arizona landscape where transmission lines are, plus it will work in portions of New Mexico.
