The temperatures outside may still feel like summer, but a new season is just around the corner.
Health officials say flu season could start as early as next week.
Doctors recommend everyone over the age of 6 months be vaccinated.
"This is a very preventable illness. If you get vaccine by early October, then they can be protected against those serious illnesses," said Dr. Dustin Monroe with Phoenix Children's Hospital.
This year's flu vaccine is to fight influenza A, influenza B and the H1N1 virus.
