The federal government has awarded $4 million to the city of Flagstaff to build a new facility for a business incubator group.
The grant from the U.S. Commerce Department will help pay for the building to house the Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.
The facility also can be used an alternate emergency response center where first responders will be able to efficiently deliver vital services to communities and tribal nations during natural disasters.
Its conference center can be used as an emergency operations center in the event a major disaster hits the region.
