A major expansion project is under way at the north Phoenix campus of the Mayo Clinic.
On Monday, administrators announced plans for a new cancer center.
The expansion project will also include new operating rooms, expanded clinic space and additional beds.
All the changes are aimed at improving efficiency and providing better care for the patients.
William Stone, associate professor of surgery at the Mayo Clinic, said, "From the patient perspective, they'll be able to come in and providers come to them so the patient doesn't have to travel all around the facility trying to find the right provider."
The expansion is expected to add more than 800 new jobs at Mayo Clinic over the next 10 years.
Construction on the facility is already under way. It's expected to be up and running by the beginning of 2015.
