Fire restrictions will be lifted in the Kaibab National Forest on Tuesday and the Prescott and Coconino national forests on Wednesday.
Officials said that increased humidity and the recent rain storms reduced fire potential in the forests, but fire caution is still urged and campfires can never be left unattended.
Campfire users should properly extinguish their fires by pouring water on it until the hissing stops, stirring the ashes with a shovel and checking that everything is wet and cold to the touch, officials said.
Despite the lifted restrictions in the Prescott National Forest, the area around the Gladiator Fire will remain closed, officials said.
