A 65-year-old woman had her finger broken when her purse was stolen while eating at a McDonald's restaurant, Phoenix police said.

She was eating inside the McDonald's at 8820 W. Indian School Rd., when a man greeted her as he walked past. He then turned and grabbed her purse, police said.

The victim held onto the purse strap and her finger was broken as she was dragged to the door, police said.

The suspect escaped with the purse and fled in a small, white four-door car. No description of the suspect was released.
