Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is raising more money in Arizona than President Barack Obama.
The Arizona Republic reports that Romney has raised $1.7 million from Arizonans through March, while the Democratic president has raised $1.1 million.
In February, when the Republicans held a debate in Mesa, Romney raised $452,000 from Arizona residents.
Obama raised $119,000.
But Obama raised $233,000 in Arizona in March, slightly more than all GOP candidates combined.
Still, the fundraising race in Arizona is not nearly as close as it is in traditional battlegrounds like Florida, Missouri and Ohio.
