A woman has died from her injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The woman, identified as 27-year-old Julie Harrington, died Thursday.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson with Phoenix police said as a car driven by a 22-year-old woman was turning left to go eastbound on Northern, it was hit by a utility truck, driven by a 21-year-old man.

Thompson said Harrington was a passenger in the car.

The intersection of Seventh Street and Northern was closed for several hours.

Police are investigating the cause. They said the drivers did not appear to be impaired.
