GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Glendale community has really come out to help the family of fallen police officer Brad Jones, but now some four-legged friends have joined in the effort.

The group Arizona Rescue Dogs is holding a fundraiser for Jones' family this Saturday.

The event is called "It's a Bear Hunt."

Participants pay $10 to get a stuffed training bear and hide it along the streets of downtown Glendale and then dogs then go and find those bears.

"We're just trying to raise some money to give back to the family, we just thought it would be a good idea just to say that, you know, we're not forgetting about him and his service for the city of Glendale, and we decided to be a good way that we could contribute to help out."

The event starts at 7:30 a.m. and goes until 1:30 p.m.

The store "Bears and More" is donating the bears for the event.
